Raising Funds and Awareness for BEN at The British Motor Show 2024 with Tom, Jerry & Spike

Bangers4BEN #B4B24

This August, we had the incredible opportunity to attend The British Motor Show 2024, one of the UK’s most anticipated automotive events. But our mission went beyond showcasing cars – we were there to make a difference. Partnering with our friends at [Lawgistics], we joined forces to raise funds and awareness for a cause close to our hearts: supporting Ben, the automotive industry charity.

The Event: Bringing Tom, Jerry & Spike to Life

Ben provides life-changing support to those working in the automotive industry and their families, offering services ranging from mental health assistance to financial support. To help this vital organization, we knew we had to go big, be bold, and capture the attention of everyone at the show.

So, we transformed our cars into furry replicas of Tom, Jerry, and Spike – the iconic cartoon characters – and dressed up to match! Alongside us were Ian and Lizzie from Lawgistics, who were just as committed to the cause. Together, we turned heads and brought smiles to faces throughout the event.

Our Experience at The British Motor Show

The British Motor Show is always a highlight of the year, but this time it was extra special. Our furry cars and costumes quickly became the talk of the event. People of all ages couldn’t resist stopping by for photos with Tom, Jerry, and Spike, making our stand one of the most popular at the show.

But beyond the fun and excitement, there was a serious purpose behind our efforts. We were there to raise awareness about the crucial work that Ben does and to encourage donations. Thanks to the generous support of attendees, we raised a fair bit, all of which will go directly to helping people in the automotive industry facing tough times.

In Attendance: A Team Effort

We couldn’t have done it without the incredible teamwork on display. From Automotive Compliance, Phil and Tomos were there alongside Ian and Lizzie from Lawgistics. Together, our combined efforts made a real impact, and we’re proud of what we accomplished as a team.

How You Can Help

While we’re thrilled with the money we raised and the awareness we brought to Ben at The British Motor Show, our work doesn’t stop here. Ben’s support is needed year-round, which is why we’re continuing our fundraising efforts.

If you’d like to help us make a difference, please visit our fundraising page [here] and consider making a donation. Every pound raised goes directly to supporting automotive industry workers and their families in times of need.

Looking Forward

The British Motor Show 2024 was just the beginning. We’re now getting ready for the next part of our adventure: Bangers4BEN in October. This time, we’ll be taking our three £750 cars over the Alps and back (hopefully)! It’s going to be a challenging yet exciting journey, and we can’t wait to see how much more we can raise for Ben.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us at The British Motor Show – whether by donating, cheering us on, or simply stopping by to say hello. Together, with the help of our friends at Lawgistics, we’re making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
